COVID-19 - STATION RULES

Operating at the station during COVID-19

In order to protect ourselves and the vulnerable community that surrounds the station, we ask that ONLY CO-OP RADIO PROGRAMMERS come to the station to broadcast a live show or pre-record a show.

  • NO GUESTS OR GENERAL MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ARE ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES AT THIS TIME.
  • ALL GUEST INTERVIEWS MUST BE DONE BY PHONE!
  • NO MORE THAN 2 PEOPLE IN THE CONTROL ROOMS AT ANY GIVEN TIME.

If you do not wish to come to the station, then please let Kimit (kimit@coopradio.org) and Bryan (ed@coopradio.org) know. You are welcome to pre-record your show at home or suggest a past show that can be replayed. In fact, we highly recommend this!

If you do come into the station, YOU MUST DO the following:

  • Wash your hands as soon as you enter the station, either in the washroom with soap and hot water (remember the 20 second rule!) or hand sanitizer. There are dispensers located at the entrance and outside of control room A.
  • Finish your show at least 5 minutes early to allow yourself time to wipe down all of the equipment using the wipes located in the control room. Make sure to play some funky music or PSA’s that will allow you time to do this.
  • There are cleaning instructions posted inside each control room. Make sure to follow them step-by-step before you leave!
  • If there is another programmer or staff member at the station, please make sure to keep a safe distance from one another. You can of course smile and say hi!
  • Please only use the computers in the lobby if you are preparing a show or completing a log sheet. Wash Your Hands Before & After Computer Use.
  • Please leave as soon as your show is over. Sadly, now is not the time to be hanging out. We need to keep the number of people in the station at any one time as low as possible.
  • Use the hand sanitizer to clean your hands as you leave.

We do not have access to the entrance on Hastings Street. You can however exit this way if you do not want to exit using the front entrance that passes the clinic.

Let’s work together to keep one another safe and virus free.

Thank you for your cooperation. Stay safe.
